Your PAISBOA Preferred Vendor FACTS Management will present A Great Tuition Experience for your Business Office and Families with FACTS Management on Tuesday, October 3 beginning at 12:00 noon. Please join us to learn more about how to better utilize the programs and services offered by our preferred vendor partner!
Our presenters will give you some insights about best practices, effective tuition management, and billing as well as ways to create a great experience for your families. The program will also provide an overview of FACTS products, and bring together FACTS users to collaborate. If you are currently using FACTS -- or would like to consider them -- you need to register for this program!
Lee-Ann Pepicelli-Murray, K-12 Technical Sales Engineer, will be our co-presenter. She holds a Masters Degree in Leadership and Organization Change. Prior to joining FACTS, she was an Advancement Director and Administrator at a large FACTS school in Massachusetts. Tausha Bahm, Regional Vice President, will also be on our panel. Tausha has over a decade of experience serving FACTS schools, beginning her career at FACTS in K-12 account management and implementation. She has worked with schools across the New England area as part of the New Business Development team for the past 5 years and is passionate about continuing to bring customized and efficient solutions to schools and their families.
This users' group will meet throughout the year, in case you cannot join us this time. Meetings have been scheduled for Tuesdays: 11/28, 2/13, and 4/9, all at 12:00 pm. We encourage you to share with other members of your school community too!

PA Educational Tax Credit Programs (EITC & OSTC) - How to Get, Use and Report the Funds
Monday, October 2 12:00 noon
PAISBOA, ADVIS, and PAIS are partnering again to offer an important FREE session for Business Managers/CFOs, Development Directors and Enrollment Management Directors from Pennsylvania schools to review the timelines, guidelines, and requirements for the PA Educational Tax Credit programs, and discuss the renewal reporting requirements from our schools’ perspective. Participants will learn how to get the funds, use the funds, and report and account for the funds.
PRESENTERS
Jim O’Donnell, Director, Tax Credit Division of the PA Department of Community & Economic Development, will provide a high level overview of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program (OSTC) programs. Randy Tarpey from Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund, will join the conversation to discuss Special Purpose Entities (SPEs) - what they are as it pertains to Pennsylvania education tax credits, how they are used, and other frequently asked questions.
In addition, a panel of leaders from area independent schools will provide their insights on marketing the fund availability, accessing the funds, and managing the communications, specifically as it relates to the importance of being on the same page when it comes to reporting on donations/scholarships, especially to state agencies.
Home Depot ProXtra Registration Session and Q & A
Thursday, November 2 Time: 10:00 am
The PAISBOA partnership with The Home Depot allows our members to receive benefits not available to any other organization. In July of this year, PAISBOA paid over $12,000 in rebates to the program's 35 participants, representing approximately 30% of those schools' membership dues. In several cases, the rebate exceeded the amount of the school's dues, proving once again the power of PAISBOA's group purchasing programs!
If you're already using any Home Depot stores or HomeDepot.com, we need to ensure you are correctly registered in our Home Depot loyalty program in order to access these benefits and be eligible for your rebate. If you're not in the program and using Home Depot, you should be!
If you have questions about registration, if you're not sure your school is registered in the program, if you'd like more information on how to sign up for the program, or if you'd like to learn anything else about The Home Depot, please contact our vendor partner Michael Campbell at [email protected], or join us on Thursday, November 2 at 10:00 am for a free zoom consultation with Michael.
