Our series on Independent School debt financing, hosted by our partners from D.A. Davidson & Co. continues on Thursday, November 17 when we present Financial And Legal Considerations for Independent School Debt Planning at 12:00 noon.

Please join us as Dan Froehlich from D.A. Davidson & Co. and Suzanne Mayes from the law firm of Cozen O’Connor focus on some of the many issues related to existing and planned future debt. Dan will provide an interest rate market update and will discuss recent Federal Reserve actions, market reactions and implications for independent schools. Suzanne will provide a legal and regulatory update focused on independent schools and the implications for existing and future debt.

Independent School Group Retirement Plan Fall Info Session

The Independent School Group Retirement Plan will conclude its fall series of Informational programs on Wednesday, November 30. The retirement plan, sponsored in conjunction with our partners at MISBO and Cal-ISBOA, is designed to address the unique needs of our members while offering cost efficiencies, simplified administration, and reduced fiduciary burden. This benefit is offered through Transamerica, in partnership with OneDigital.

The session will feature representatives from MEP sponsors MISBO and Cal-ISBOA, as well as Transamerica and OneDigital. All PAISBOA members are invited to attend.

 PAISBOA Technology Group Conversation

The PAISBOA Technology Group usually meets the third or fourth Wednesday of every month throughout the school year for discussion on a variety of topics. Past conversations have focused on the evolution of distance and hybrid learning, planning for the upcoming summer and subsequent school year, and whatever else is on the group's mind. We also have occasional guest speakers who comment on current topics.

Our November meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 14 at 2:00 pm as Brett Kahn and the team from Prelude Solutions return to discuss telecom auditing projects. Our special guest will be Ansley Cox of William Penn Charter School, who will talk about her experience working with Prelude on their audit, which resulted in massive savings for the school. Please join us for this informative panel discussion that will help you and your school save money, followed by a Q&A at the end.
