Kohelet Yeshiva is currently seeking a Bus Driver, Monday through Friday; from now through mid-June 2018.  The route travels between Merion Station, PA and Cherry Hill, NJ. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of each child between home and school.  Field trip / mid-day driving opportunities will be available, in addition to the normal route.


A qualified bus driver will possess a state issued CDL with a passenger/school bus endorsement. The driver must also maintain a clean driving record and pass all random drug and alcohol tests and required background checks including: Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI.


  • Adhere to the appropriate route as outlined and assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure that each pick-up is conducted in a timely manner and within school policy.
  • Have an updated and current driver log in the bus at all times.
  • Complete a pre- and post- trip vehicle inspection on a daily basis and file accordingly.
  • Ensure updated inspection, quality and cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Proper use of school issued fleet/fuel card, to maintain appropriate level of fuel in vehicle.
  • Abide by all DOT, state and company general safety rules.
  • Report any and all vehicle safety violations and accidents.
  • Monitor and report vehicle maintenance and safety infractions.
  • Maintain verbal contact with immediate supervisor during any type of emergency (e.g. snow) and early dismissals.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
