PAISBOA Board Announces Bolton & Company
as New Broker for
Business Insurance Group

The PAISBOA Boards of Directors and the PAISBOA Business Insurance Group Steering Committee embarked on an RFP process earlier this year to review, evaluate and seek proposals from commercial property and casualty providers for our members’ insurance requirements.

Our first step was to retain professional consultants to guide the process; we selected GH Insurance Advisors, a local firm of professionals who helped identify and assess the needs of the Group, drafted the RFP, and identified potential broker partners. We sent the RFP to over a dozen prospective national and local insurance producers, including our current broker, Willis Towers Watson.

From the seven strong RFPs we received, we selected four finalists to present to our Boards of Directors, Steering Committee, and members of the Business Insurance Group. “After a lengthy discussion, including follow-up conversations and reference checks with small and large schools and an association similar to PAISBOA, we believe Bolton & Company to be the best match for the PAISBOA Business Insurance Group,” said Rob Marcantuono, Steering Committee chair and CFO at Germantown Friends School.

“Not only does their entire team have a deep understanding of independent schools, but their proactive customer service is truly superior, added Carolyn Hapeman, Dean of Finance and Operations at Westtown School and PAISBOA Board Chair. “In addition to supporting my work as CFO, they also gave excellent presentations to my Finance Committee about our existing insurance coverage as well as other coverages to consider. I'm excited to become their client again, and I'm even more excited for our PAISBOA member schools to partner with Bolton in the years to come!”

On Wednesday, September 16, 2020 the PAISBOA Boards of Directors affirmed a resolution to retain Bolton & Company to be the Broker for the PAISBOA Business Insurance Group, effective immediately in anticipation of a February 1, 2021 renewal for the group.
