Annual HR Day Set for December 7

Please join us for our annual HR Day on Friday, December 7. The workshop sessions will begin immediately after the conclusion of the PAISBOA Health Benefit Trust December General Meeting. Susan Guerette (right) and her Fisher & Phillips colleagues will present several mini-workshops on a variety of topics, including:

  • Americans with Disabilities Issues – particularly looking at issues relating to mental issues and alcohol
  • Hiring Practices – clearances and proper procedures to follow
  • Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting – how does it work, when should a report be made, what happens if the person under investigation is on your campus such as an employee or parent, what should your policy say
  • Compensation issues - Pay equity act; implications of working remotely;
  • Social Media – what can you restrict; what can teachers post; what should policies provide

Thanks to the HR Steering Committee – Michele Todd of the Haverford School, Joanna Bonner of LaSalle College High School, and Meg Rogers of Penn Charter --  for their guidance in planning the agenda for the day.
