PAISBOA Technology Group Conversation

Next Meeting: Wednesday, June 16
Time: 12:00 pm

The PAISBOA Technology Group meets the third Wednesday of every month throughout the school year at 12:00 noon for discussion on a variety of topics. Past conversations have focused on the evolution of distance and hybrid learning, planning for the upcoming summer and subsequent school year, and whatever else is on the group's mind. We also have occasional guest speakers who comment on current topics.

Our topic on June 16 will be "How Tech Leaders are Using Innovative Tech to Address Social Media Challenges" presented by Steph Peterson of The Social Institute. Now, more than ever, students’ social-emotional health is deeply shaped by their social world, including social media and technology. In this session, Steph will share actionable tips and best practices for technology directors to empower students to make healthy, high-character choices, both on campus and off. We'll discuss:

  • The role of social media and technology in student social-emotional health
  • 7 timely, tech-related skills to teach students throughout the school year
  • How educators can engage 100% of students through gamified learning

Technology staff at our member schools and universities are more than welcome to join us! No registration necessary!
