About Hal: Hal began working at the William Penn Charter School in 1996, serving as the Chief Financial Officer and teacher of Economics in the Social Studies Department. He serves as Chair Emeritus of the PAISBOA Board and helped found the PAISBOA Purchasing Consortium. Hal also serves as the treasurer of the board of KenCrest Centers, a social service agency that serves children and adults with developmental disabilities. Prior to entering the Independent School world, Hal retired from a 22 year career at SEPTA, holding several positions including the Assistant General Manager for Subway Elevated Operations and finally as the Assistant General Manager for Finance and Planning. Hal has a BS from Drexel University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
