The Episcopal Academy has an immediate opening for an Associate Director of Institutional Advancement.

The Position
The number two position in the Office of Institutional Advancement, the Associate Director of Institutional Advancement will partner with the Director of Institutional Advancement to develop a dynamic strategy to build awareness, engagement, and giving in support of the school among critical constituent groups.

Reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Associate Director of Institutional Advancement will oversee internal operations, a sophisticated annual giving and alumni program, a comprehensive and innovative stewardship program, execution of advancement events, and will manage a portfolio of leadership gift prospects.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent overall writing skills in a number of different styles
  • Demonstrated success managing programs and people
  • Capacity to inspire continuous improvement of Advancement programming
  • Ability to ensure office operations run smoothly and the technical skills to support strategic oversight of the budget, employee recruitment, and employee evaluations
  • Proven track record of closing six-figure gifts
  • Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, analytical thinking skills, complex problem-solving skills, and growth mindset
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and react and adapt to changing situations and new opportunities appropriately

Training and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years development experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
