PAISBOA Annual Data Survey
Now Underway

We are pleased to announce that, after a full summer of testing and planning, the 2019 Annual PAISBOA Data Survey is now open! Because of your high participation rates, our members receive robust data from a wide range of schools, allowing you to benchmark your school against other schools by type, size, and geographic location. This collection of data provides participants with in-depth analysis of key performance indicators related to independent school financial management and operations, and salaries by position.

New Partners, New Look!

We are now partnering with Dynamic Benchmarking to offer a new and improved PAISBOA Annual Data Survey experience. Some of the improvements you can expect to see this year include:

  • New Survey Platform - easy to use interface with improved navigation.
  • Single Sign On - no need to have another user name and password - log into your personal profile at, click on the Data Center tab on the blue menu bar, and start your survey by choosing either the General or Salary Survey links. You do not need to log into anywhere else!
  • Improved Results with easy to use filters. This will enable you to create customized reports, graphs, and PowerPoint slides.
  • Historical Results -- the data you input this year will be available to you for the 2020 PAISBOA Annual Data Survey. Additionally, we are working to get data from the last several years into our platform, so you'll have access to some of your historical data.

Still Two Parts: General Survey & Salary Survey

As in the past, the PAISBOA Annual Data Survey consists of two parts: the General Survey and the Salary Survey. The deadline for completion of both surveys is Monday, October 7.

Please Note: you must complete both the General Survey AND the Salary Survey in order to get the Salary Survey resultsDon't forget to complete all parts of the survey that apply to your school, and make sure to proof your responses.

You're Not Alone! Help is Available!!

The new platform has documentation and guides accessible throughout the survey. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected], and Ron Hill, Tom Devine, and Aggie Malter will be able to assist you.

If you have questions about the Survey, or are looking for some pointers to make the process easier, we are planning two 30-minute Q&A Webinars, as we did last year, with our Survey Gurus and our colleagues from Cal-ISBOA.  Tune in on Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 26 at 2:00 pm!
