Driving Directions
The church is located in the heart of the historic Chestnut Hill , five blocks west of Germantown Avenue at the corner of St. Martin's Lane and West Willow Grove Avenue. It is also just a few steps from the St. Martin's stop of SEPTA's R8 Chestnut Hill West Station.
From the Schuylkill Expressway: Get off the expressway at the Lincoln Drive exit, and follow Lincoln Drive through Fairmount Park and Mount Airy until it dead ends at Allen's Lane. Turn right on Allen's Lane, following it until it abuts into Germantown Avenue. Turn left onto Germantown Avenue, until you reach Willow Grove Avenue. Turn left onto Willow Grove Avenue, following it five blocks until you reach St. Martin's Lane.
From the Mid-County Interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 476 (Blue Route): After the toll plaza, follow signs to Germantown Avenue East. Follow Germantown Avenue east for six miles until you reach the heart of Chestnut Hill. At Willow Grove Avenue, turn right. Follow the road for five blocks until you reach the corner of Willow Grove avenue and St. Martin's Lane.
Driving from Center City: Take Schuylkill Expressway (I76) NORTH following signs to Lincoln Drive. Take exit marked Lincoln/Kelly/Ridge. Bear right, and get in left lane as you cross the bridge. Take fork for Lincoln Drive. Drive through park, following the Drive until Ritenhouse Avenue and bear right following the "jug handle" to Wissahickon Avenue. Stay on Wissahickon to Allen's Lane. Right on Allen's Lane to McCallum Street, left on McCallum across the bridge and take a right onto Mermaid Lane. Mermaid Lane to St. Martins Lane, take left. Church is on corner of St. Martin's and Willow Grove Avenue.
Driving from the PA Turnpike: Exit at Fort Washington. After the toll booth, take the 2nd right (after the overpass) onto 309 South. Take Paper Mill Road exit. Take right onto Paper Mill Road to 2nd light. Take left onto Cheltenham Avenue. Take right onto Willow Grove Avenue at next light. Stay on Willow Grove through 3 traffic lights and 3 stop signs. St. Martin's is at the intersection of Willow Grove and Lane.
By SEPTA/Train form Center City: From Suburban Station or 30th Street, take the R8/Chestnut Hill Local and get off at the St. Martin's station. Walk up the driveway to St. Martin's Lane and take a left. Church is a half block away.
