Statistical Survey Workshop: Dive Deeper into Data Analysis

Whether or not your school participated in PAISBOA’s Annual Data Survey, you are invited to a very special program designed to better understand how you can analyze and interpret important data you collect.

Please join us on either Tuesday, May 15, or Wednesday, May 16 at the PAISBOA Offices in Radnor Township for a Statistical Survey Workshop: Dive Deeper into Data Analysis. The May 15 workshop, designed for those less familiar with data analysis and school representatives interested in participating in the 2018 Data Survey, takes place from 2:00-4:30 p.m., while the May 16 workshop is designed for experienced “power users” of the Survey and takes place from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

During this highly interactive workshop, teams of Business Officers will a develop a multi stage sustainability enhancement plan for an independent school whose performance has deteriorated over the past several years due to a combination of competitive pressures, deteriorating competitiveness and a challenging economy.

Under the guidance of Dr. Harry Bloom, Senior Vice President of Client Solutions of Measuring Success, participants will use the PAISBOA benchmarking database to understand the drivers of the school’s sustainability challenges. Then, they will assess a number of corrective actions to enhance the school’s situation relating to revenue, shifts in spending/investment, and better use of assets. Finally, they will have an opportunity to model the impact of their proposed changes.

Our Facilitator: Dr. Harry Bloom's profit experience includes brand and product management at Procter & Gamble and General Electric, and management consulting with McKinsey & Company. In his Independent School work, Dr. Bloom has developed and implemented a number of marquee programs, including the Atidenu Recruitment and Retention program, the Recruitment and Retention Academy, the Governance & Fundraising Academy, and the Financial Benchmarking and Financial Re-engineering program.
