Objectives:

The objectives of the Philadelphia Area Independent School Insurance Group- PAISIG-are to provide member schools with the ability to purchase more affordable group insurance programs by utilizing their combined economic power.

Products and Services:

PAISIG assist member schools to choose and acquire from an expansive selection of Medical (with PPO, HMO and POS designs), Prescription Drug, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability and Flexible Benefit Plan Design and Administration tailored to meet their unique needs.

History:

Organized and in operation since 1970, PAISIG is managed by a volunteer Board consisting of Business Managers from member schools. Professional Consultants assist the Board in continually monitoring all aspects of the programs, assuring every member the latest in benefit offerings along with the greatest return on their collective purchasing strength.

Achievements:

PAISIG has grown to include 74 member schools and 6300+ employees with a collective purchasing strength of 40 million dollars. Along with providing competitive rates for an exceptionally wide range of products, PAISIG enables Dedicated Insurance Carrier Services for Member Schools and Professional Benefit Resources from

Criteria for Participation:

Membership in PAISBOA. All applicants are required to fill out a membership application which includes the applicant's Loss History and Claims information for the past 3 years for review by the PAISIG Consultant. The applicant school's Risk Profile is compared to the PAISIG Group. The Consultant then makes a recommendation to the PAISIG Board for further action.

Costs and/or Fees:

There are no enrollment fees. Membership fees are built into the pricing structure of PAISIG Products.
