More About Us

PAISBOA is an Umbrella Consortium Organization dedicated to professional development, the sharing of information, networking and communication among members. These objectives are achieved through seminars and workshops throughout the year and a ListServ available only to members.
Membership is offered to private schools in the tri-state area, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. PAISBOA offers members a clearinghouse for information, and a growing group of development and resource programs beyond the normal resources of any one-member school.
Overall, these resources focus on meeting the critical needs of business officers, controllers, human resources personnel, risk managers and plant managers. Members are able to build and share their personal skills and the expertise needed to manage all of the resources of relatively small educational non-profits with the efficiency and economies of much larger for-profit concerns.
To stay informed and current on matters of importance to our membership, PAISBOA maintains close relationships with other regional and national organizations whose interests and achievements parallel our own, including the Association of Delaware Valley Independent Schools (ADVIS), the National Business Officers Association (NBOA) and the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS).
The leadership of PAISBOA continuously seeks opportunities for cost savings through cooperation and collective action. From this effort, several specific consortia have been established to obtain the best available products and services at prices reflecting the economic advantage of group purchasing. Each consortium operates independently under the supervision of a steering committee of member representatives assisted by expert consultants.
Membership and participation in each of the consortia is separate and elective, and some of them have specific requirements for joining. These consortia are only available to PAISBOA members.
